Yummy Kitchen is a food truck established in Hudson, New York focusing on authentic street food from China, Korea, Japan, Thailand, & Vietnam. With an emphasis on fresh ingredients and bold, intriguing flavors, Yummy Kitchen provides community experience unlike any other in the Upstate NY area.
The concept for the Yummy Kitchen identity comes from combining the Initials of the brand name ( Y + K ) and
playing on the form of the Japanese Yen symbol ( ¥ ). The goal was to create something iconic that people in the
community could start to recognize and associate with the food truck. As the business has grown, location modifiers
have been added to the brand system, as well as one for the company's packaged sauce offerings. The color palette
and typography were kept simple, clean, and modern to allow the dishes themselves to come forward with bright,
colorful ingredients. Most uniquely, Yummy Kitchen uses a variety of edible flowers to garnish the dishes, so a floral
motif was incorporated into the brand identity with various illustrations to reflect this.
